What we do

Champions provides gang prevention, intervention and outreach to Visalia Unified School District (VUSD) students, families, and neighborhoods during school and non-school hours. Champions staff is flexible and able to provide support/intervention during the school day as well as non-school hours of evenings and weekends in schools and in the community. Champions will have at-least one staff on-call to drop by schools, make home or neighborhood visits to connect with students and families in response to emergencies. To receive these services, youth must be referred by the Safe Student Intervention Program at their school.

Champions also provides substance use disorder (SUD) treatment, individual and family therapy, and intensive case management to juveniles on probation in Tulare County. To receive these services, youth must be referred by their assigned probation officer.
