History of Frasieur’s Home

The house that now offers residency to five women in need once belonged to Hanford residents, Cecil Lewis “Lew” Frasieur and Ellen Frasieur. The Frasieur’s lived within the home since the summer of 1967 and after their three children moved out, they began to rent the newly-emptied rooms to individuals who needed a place to live. Understanding that these individuals were often those in greater need, the Frasieur’s only charged $50 a month so that the home could become a place of recovery.

After the Frasieur’s had passed, their three children donated their home to Champions in hopes of continuing their parent’s legacy by providing shelter to women in Kings County.
