Parenting classes offered at Champions aim to help families with children who are suffering from substance abuse and mental health disorder through recovery.

Champions offers classes in both English and Spanish using the Nurturing Parenting Skills for Families, Nurturing Fathers, and Celebrating Families curriculum that helps families build a stronger connection with each other.

In these classes, participants learn about child development, how to communicate physical and emotional needs, establishing routines for regular family activities, and building family togetherness.


Celebrating Families

An evidence-based family strengthening program for the substance use disorder impacted family. The program incorporates addiction/recovery concepts with healthy family living skills.

A 16-week program focused on healthy living, sobriety, healing, boundaries, reunification, stability and effective communication.


Celebrando Familia!

An innovative approach for Spanish speaking families to participate.


Nurturing Parenting for Families

An evidence-based parenting program for mothers. A 17-week program focused on helping mothers improve parenting skills, promote child development and healthy bonding, enhance parent-child relationships, reduce developmental or abuse/neglect risks to children, and teach parenting skills and techniques.


Nurturing Fathers Program

A 13-week group-based program for developing attitudes and skills for male nurturance. The program is designed to teach parenting and nurturing skills to men. NFP provides proven, effective skills for healthy family relationships and child development.
